NOD Here, and I wanted to thank anyone who has joined and ask you to please feel free to use this section as much as you want. I really want to make Goblins Games a center point for game discussion. If there are any main topics you think would be good to start, or changes to this site etc. Please feel free to post your suggestions here.

One thing that I promise you to do, is I will listen. I truly think that the best places online for people are the places where members are listened to. Without every single person reading this, Goblins Games would be nothing.

Hello all and any future goblins running around, I have a request. Does anyone care to post their ideas for a new and fresh monsters, critter and denizen of the game for 5E?

Please post below your ideas for something new and fresh. Or in the case of it being undead, not so fresh.

Oh man, the Eagle... The iconic ship. I actually have made models of this ship and they are some of my favorites.

These can be either games you designed, you played as a playtester, or you saw prototypes of that you liked but they never saw the light of day. I'm curious to know your favorites.

About 10 years ago I made a prototype of All Your Mech (the name was a play on the All Your Base meme, and was just a placeholder). It was a simplified role-playing boardgame, sort of like Battletech, but designed to play either as one-off scenarios like a typical boardgame, or prolonged campaigns more like an RPG. The big feature was designing your mech, using transparencies to overlap each other to form a full mech. That way, you could swap out individual transparencies to customize or improve your mech. Reference the image below of the transparencies stacked together on top of the mech character sheet to see what I'm referring to.

Every playtesting session was a lot of fun. So why didn't it take off and instead got shelved? The cost of making the transparencies. Even overseas manufacture would have forced the game to have a $125 retail cost to make even a tiny profit. And 10 years ago that just wasn't feasible compared to what content you were getting in other boardgames you see at the store. I'd have to sell 25,000 just to make it worth it.

Maybe one day...

Probably Axis & Allies. When I was stationed overseas (which can bring long periods of boredom), I painted all the pieces like they were minis...

I will be running one game Friday night, as sadly I am the organizer and will be running around helping with the convention. Friday from 10pm til 2am maybe 1am I will be running a test game for Open Worlds that is scheduled to be released in June 2025.

So here's what I'm thinking. I've already submitted two shortish BX games. And I may do a one hour seminar on indie publishing. I really want to do at least one private game with some key folks if they would be interested. I also may run at least one GEAS game (probably GEAS Crux, which is super easy and fast, typical fantasy rpg)

Who all is planning on running what?
